Our students and their families demonstrated such resiliency during the chaos of the pandemic. As a school we want to give back to our families and our students as a way of thanking for them for collaboration and perseverance during the pandemic. Typically our school hosts and annual Every year our school hosts a winter celebration dedicated to honoring the cultural traditions of our students and their families. Unfortunately, our parents will not be able to attend due to COVID protocols.
Given that our students have special needs it is often difficult for us to participate in local toy drives as we know our students and their preferences best. By donating to this project you will give us the opportunity to tailor our toy drive to the needs and interests of our students. We have collaborated with our teachers to compile a holiday wishlists of what our students want this holiday season. We aligned to this task to the academic skill of categorization by asking students to base their interests on the following groups: "What I want"; "What I need"; "What I want to read"; and "What I want to wear".
