My students are fun, energetic, 7-9 year olds. They are young and "wiggly". They truly are darling young people who come to school excited to learn and share things with me from their personal lives.
Each child comes from a different background or home life. They spend almost 7 hours a day in my classroom. Usually they spend more time with me during the week than they do their parents.
I want to provide them with the best opportunity to be successful learners. However that is the challenge I am having.
Students need to be active and engaged to learn. Asking a young child to sit still and focus for a large majority of the day is difficult.
