Our school sits in the heart of the downtown inner city. We are a Title I school desperately in need of some positive changes. We are making gains every day in building positive relationships and giving our students valuable life skills they are unlikely to obtain anywhere else.
My students come from underprivileged homes where many of them have no access to books or school supplies. All of them face hardships that we can't imagine. All of their education and hope for getting out of their situation comes from their education. I personally spend each day encouraging my students to work hard, challenge themselves, and never give up on their dreams.
