My students are amazing! We are a Title I school, and most of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Many of my students do not have access to resources at home, so I try to provide as many experiences for exploration as possible in the classroom.
I am fortunate to teach 3 and 4-year-old children in a PPCD classroom (Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities). All of my students have a learning difference ranging from speech impairment, autism, cognitive delays, or developmental delays. Many are nonverbal and may have difficulty with social interactions. Though this often means their learning looks a little different than that of their same-age peers, they are capable of just as many successes if given the right resources and encouragement! My goal is to help each student reach his or her full potential and to foster a love of learning.
