My students range from general education Biology students, to AP Biology, to AP Environmental Science learners and they are all curious! Our student population is diverse across campus but especially in my AP classes. Today we surveyed our classes and found out that we came from Sudan, Russia, Korea, Italy, South America, Yugoslavia, China and many other places! Our school includes a special needs population in many of our classes and participate in our social events. Our students economic backgrounds are also varied. Although some consider us to be financially privileged, as a teacher I know that our community maintains a homeless shelter which is full at times with families as well as individuals. Not all of our students have access to computers, the Internet or the opportunity to learn how to use them. Moreover we currently have no student computers in my classroom, but our school is wired for web services and have Internet support for our textbooks.
