80% of my students receive free and reduced lunch, and so expecting students to buy their own supplies is very difficult. By providing them with notebooks I can make sure that they have the tools necessary to be successful and remain organized. I don't have to worry about whether or not they will find a way to buy their notebooks, I can simply give them one.
Throughout my past 12 years working at this school, many students fall through the cracks.
One of the big contributing factors is lack of supplies. A notebook is a simple and inexpensive way to remain organized.
