Many students today have minimal imagination until they are given tools to express themselves. By using LEGOs, my students will be able to build the story before they put words to it on paper. Then they will take it a step further by making a video of their stories by using a computer application called Stop Motion. Through this activity, students will also be learning how to use the writing process to create a writing piece worthy of making into a movie. LEGOs allow students to use their imaginations and creativity in ways that are fun and engaging.
