These flex seating options will allow my students to choose where they want to sit or stand each day in my classroom. These options will allow our classroom to feel more like home. I'm also working on giving each child their own bin of supplies to provide easy transport from space to space and responsibility for their materials. My students are excited to learn and I try to provide them with a space that is inviting and calm.
Student choice is very important: it allows students to have a say in their learning situation. Flexible seating allows students to move around within the classroom, to work with different peers, and to take ownership of their learning environment.
