How can I tell you about my students as a group? They are all so different in myriads of ways. I have students that are working two jobs, students that still don't have their drivers' license, students that read in their spare time, students that are excellent athletes, students that are taking care of ailing family members, students that have made it through major illnesses, students that have beat the odds, students that still don't know who they really are, students who are so self-assured that they seem more grown-up than me, students that are college-bound, students that will do their learning outside of the classroom, students that help financially support their families, students that have never earned a dollar, students that have loved their high school experience, and students that cannot wait to escape. But all of them inspire me and push me towards deeper knowledge, and for that I am grateful daily.
