I am blessed to teach an amazing group of 5 and 6 year olds who are eager learners, who love hands on learning, and who strive to become the best students they possibly can be. Being that our school is a Title 1 School and many of my students do not have learning resources in their homes. I do not let this stop them from becoming a proactive learner. I try my best to provide them with as many opportunities to have hands on learning with age appropriate learning resources. Through these experiences my students are able to walk in my door the first day of school not knowing how to read, write their letters or count. When they leave my class they will be readers, writers and have the math skills they need to not only be successful in first grade but in life. I expect nothing less than to have my students be successful and they know/understand that they must never give up.
