My class of 17 kindergarteners is a diverse group made up of some students with special needs and many low socioeconomic students. I teach in a rural district with limited funding for classrooms each year. I spend over $1,000 out of pocket annually to supply the resources needed for my students. This is my first year in kindergarten, after teaching second grade for many years, and I am looking to build my inventory of developmentally appropriate materials for my kindergarteners!
