My students attend a very small (around 400 children) Title 1 school. Each of them has been identified with a mild to moderate disability that impairs their learning enough to justify placement into my special day class. Despite their varied disabilities, they are eager learners, working on grade level standards and becoming involved citizens of the world. As the year progresses, I see my students becoming more self-directed and independent.
