I teach 5th graders and they love to learn about different ways to solve their math problems. They are learning to persevere through the hated...fractions and word problems. One of my goals for their school year is to always help them to have some confidence in the math they feel intimated by (fractions and word problems). We use a Promethean Board in the classroom and they love the interactive part of it as well as using manipulatives. When they can "connect" with it they seem to learn more.

About my class
