Having an eBeam in my classroom will bring a whole new meaning to technology, whole-group instruction, and stations! An eBeam, which allows the white board to become an interactive board, will provide the opportunity for hands-on learning. This is particularly helpful with my Kindergartners because it helps make concepts more visual and concrete. For example, using an eBeam to count words in sentences would help students develop a better understanding of the concept of words. Using an eBeam during math would provide a very hands-on and engaging way to practice counting and understand addition and subtraction stories.
My young students love using technology and an eBeam will provide a visual and engaging way to teach concepts. Interactive activities such as this are very motivating for young learners. This would encourage all students to participate and actively learn. In addition, as previously stated, it allows concepts to be visualized and thus makes them more concrete.
