Next year, we are implementing a new and improved Advisory program for our students to foster social and emotional learning. We have over 500 students in our building and these games will be used by all Advisory classes.
One day each week during Advisory, students will have Friday Fun Day, when they can play board games and interact with each other in a positive manner.
Playing games help child development. Students think, react and compete. Board games also help to build social skills while teaching students how to follow rules and be a fair player. Students will also improve their communication skills, ability to focus, taking turns and sharing.
