I am a 4th grade teacher that loves to find innovative ways of teaching. I love integrating technology and the kids love it too. I am requesting five Spheros and five DigiLand tablets that I plan to use to teach my students the basic concepts of programming, robotics, and math.
There’s no rule that says learning can't be fun, or that playing can’t be valuable. Spheros do just that. They combine learning and play to keep students engaged and motivated as they learn new 21st Century skills.
My students love using online programs that allow them to create their own programming codes. The Sphero robots will make that learning experience a million times better. The Sphero robots will allow students to give their robot orders with visual blocks representing code and immediately see the connection between the program they created and how the Sphero works and reacts.
Sphero SPRK Edition makes the skills of the future approachable and practical. And most importantly, fun. Sphero SPRK Edition will inspire a love of robotics, coding, and STEM principles...all through play. In addition to using the tablets with the Spheros, students will be able to use them for many other learning purposes. They will be able to use them to scan QR codes to participate in math scavenger games that I would like to create. They can create their own videos to share their knowledge and take pictures of their work to share on their blogs... just to name a few.
