I work with 620 inner city students ranging in age from 5 years to 12 years old. We are 75% African American, 13% Caucasian, 8% Hispanic, and 4% Asian. 98% of our students receive free and reduced breakfast and lunch.
For a lot of our students, school is a nice, needed break from the stressors of life where they can feel safe and eat two hot meals. Our staff works on making this a positive, productive environment for our children. The students love visitors, guest readers, and our community partners. Our goal is to help our students be productive and positive lifelong learners and to help them become valuable members of society.
