My 4th grade students are hardworking, motivated kids who want to learn! However, many do not have computers, iPads, tablets, or Smart Phones at home, so their exposure to various technologies and the activities that go with them is limited. Our school has limited computers for student use that work only a portion of the time, and when they do they are likely to freeze up, prone to viruses, and agonizingly slow. My students would love to have the privilege of working with iPads, as well as learning new skills, such as researching and typing.
