I love teaching in the elementary school that I grew up in. The fun-loving and supportive atmosphere is still there. My students bring a lot of adventure and creativity to my classroom, and I wouldn't have it any other way! My students enjoy hands-on activities that allow them to interact with each other, share their opinions, and learn from their peers. They teach me new things each and every day. They each have dreams of being police officers, teachers, fire fighters, veterinarians, mechanics, and so much more. We have recently studied some American Heroes, and they have aspirations to become heroes and heroins in their own communities. To them, a hero is someone who is kind, hardworking, trustworthy, responsible, and willing to take on a challenge. To me, they are already heroes/heroines. They continue to amaze me day after day!
