I teach a varying exceptionalities class from Kindergarten to 3rd grade at a Title I school. 65% of the students at the school receive free and reduced lunch. My students learn best in small group settings of 3 to 4. They enjoying being in our classroom and look forward to coming to school each day. The amount of learning they are able to do in small groups is so much more because their lessons can be individualized and tailored specifically to them. They inspire me everyday because they work through the issues they face with determination and a true love for learning...even if it is not the conventional learning that comes to many peoples' minds. We diversify everything and learn through games, activities and laughter. Their classroom requires a lot of unique resources to run in a way for them to learn best. A portable white board and visuals will go a long way to helping me teach them in a way the suits their needs.
