My students come from all sorts of backgrounds. While our immediate location is in a fairly wealthy neighborhood, right outside of our area is a fairly low socioeconomic neighborhood. We are surrounded by a beautiful wooded area, and we are lucky to spend so much time outside actively learning. When we are in the winter months, the active learning is brought inside. I have a relatively small classroom, so arranging activities can sometimes prove to be difficult in relation to space. As all kindergarteners do, my students love to be up and moving. I have to be creative sometimes!
