The school is an inner city public school. The school is located in a lower middle class community in northwest part of the county. It is a Title I school; 81% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. Because the school is open to the entire county, many students live beyond the transportation boundaries set by the district and must rely on public transportation to and from school. Some must take as many as three different buses. Nonetheless, they come to school regularly, ready, and eager to learn.Teaching science in an inner city public school can be challenging but my students make it a pleasure. I am teaching science to exceptional student education students. My mission is to provide effective learning opportunities for all exceptional children.
