My students come from all over the state of Tennessee, and their backgrounds are as diverse as their home towns. A large majority of our students have come to us because they have been victims of bullying, and their educational progress was being negatively impacted. Along with this, many of our students are pursuing their passions in the arts, business, and athletics at both amateur and professional levels, and they need the flexibility of our school in order to achieve their goals while still receiving a high-quality, high school education. As a newer online school that's run by a school system, as opposed to a corporation, we are working hard to set high standards and push students to become responsible learners and citizens. With that said, we have a significantly limited budget. I want to give my students all of the opportunities that they would have in traditional high schools, so they don't feel as if they are missing out. Having the right materials would do a long way.
