My students are 3, 4, & 5 year-olds in an inner-city school. They are always eager to learn, full of energy, and ready to explore the world around them through play. Dramatic play affords them the opportunity to interact with each other in familiar and unfamiliar settings. As a Title I campus, our school struggles to acquire all the materials we hope to have for our students. In Pre-K, this is most evident in our dramatic play centers, which we try to change out with each thematic unit we explore. Our students enjoy talking about farms and vet clinics and grocery stores ... we want to bring these places to life for them through dramatic play!
