I am privileged to teach math to third, fourth and fifth grade students in an urban area. Unfortunately, most of our students are economically disadvantaged, so the only access many of them have to computers and the Internet is at school. We have over 700 students in our building. Technology is a major component of the new standardized testing, yet we don't have technology teachers, or a computer lab. My students have a passion and enthusiasm for technology so I try to take advantage of this by incorporating technology into every math lesson.
