Having a carpet will provide my students a comfortable and inviting learning environment.
The carpet learning will allow the students to realize that it is now time to listen and focus on what the teacher is saying and doing. It will allow them their personal assigned space.
The carpet will provide the students with a place to collaboratively learn in close proximity with their peers as they turn and talk about their learning.
In addition, the carpet will give them space to work on individual and group projects during and after instructional time.
The carpet will be used for other structured group activities during writing, math, science and social studies.
