By building a Makerspace/STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Center, my students are learning to think critically, design, build, program, and create. Our current iPad collection is obsolete. Because we do not have iPads with up to date Bluetooth capabilities, we are unable to use them with Dot and Dash robots, merge cubes, coding, and Ozobots. While we do have several of these items, they are not functional without fully-functioning iPads. These coding, robotic, and augmented-reality tools will help students learn to solve real-world problems.
Adding a few iPads to our collection will help ensure that this equipment is used properly and is used to create future ready students.
