I have the pleasure of teaching a combined classroom of Kindergarten through 3rd grade students in a country setting. They are all very eager to come to school. All of the students are English as a second language. They come into my classroom without knowing a word of English. They need to develop the English language in order to keep up with the curriculum that is expected of them.
