My students are a mixture of grades 9-12, who are enthusiastic about their education and respond well to hands-on learning. They have a desire to be challenged and inspired. When the curriculum is student centered and student driven, their creativity and leadership truly emerges.
In a diverse school, in Sacramento County, my students are trying to connect to and navigate through an ever-changing world. Traditional education no longer meets their needs and they are vocal about the worth of their assignments. They recognize, understand, and value meaningful instruction where they are given the opportunity to discover knowledge independently.
