The resources such as the clay, building materials, craft materials, and art supplies, will allow students to learn science, technology, engineering, art and math skills in a hands on way. We have purchased Makerspace/STEAM books such as, Origami Science Experiments, Smithsonian Maker Lab books, Wood Shop Activities, Changing Matter in Makerspace, Joining Materials in Makerspace, and many more. Having these consumable materials is exactly what our high poverty population of students need in order to learn the many higher level thinking concepts that can be fostered with hands on learning in STEAM.
