I work with some of the most amazing people I know. We currently have 10 Pre-K Disability units at our school. Each class has at least 14 students in it along with a teacher and an assistant. Typically, every student that qualifies for our program enters when they are 3 and leaves when they go to kindergarten. Needless to say, we all become very close and connected. My students are very challenging, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Right now there are four children with Autism, one student that is physically disabled and wheelchair bound, one student with a traumatic brain injury, and several that are language impaired. Learning in this classroom is very unique. Not only do we have to adapt each lesson to fit each child, but we have to use different learning styles as well.
