I've recently purchased STEM activities for my classroom to use this year and am in need of the books that correlate to them. One example of an activity includes reading the story "We're all Wonders" and then completing a hands on activity to create a new and exciting gizmo to solve a problem. This "STEMs" off of the plot of the story they just read.
Students get excited with hands on learning, or STEM activities, and pulling in reading with these helps to build upon those hard to grasp skills. The books are just one piece of the puzzle. I'm also requesting microphones to give each student the chance to be a star and stand out when they discuss their projects.
