My students are from rural, Eastern North Carolina we have a diverse population. The large majority, about 85% come from single parent homes and receive free and reduced lunch. This upcoming year will be my third year teaching. I am discovering that my students are thrown into a computer driven curriculum when they get to third grade. It is imperative that I expose them to technology so that they will be prepared for the rigor of third and so that they will become 21st century learners.
