In our music curriculum the children are learning how to sing, move and play instruments. My school has a very small inventory of musical instruments and it can be difficult to have an enriching program without the proper support. The Orff xylophones that I have selected will give our students another medium for learning harmony, timbre and rhythm during class. We do not have a band or orchestra teacher so oftentimes their only chance to play instruments is in general music.
With my Ðǿմ«Ã½ project, the students will also be able to build musicianship and practice socialization. The students can partner up on the xylophones while others sing or dance to the music. As they progress they can showcase the interdisciplinary projects during our student of the month assemblies.
