I have the fortunate opportunity to spend eight hours a day with the kindest, most creative, and hard-working students. These children do not all have supportive home environments and many of them are raising younger siblings while they are still young themselves. Despite what circumstances they come from they always show up with eager smiles and positive attitudes.
Our school is a very small, Title I, community school. Many of our students walk to school and receive free breakfast and lunch. We have been gifted several iPads for the students to really dive into 21st century learning. With technology at hand, the students have the ability to see the world outside their community.
