My students are the reason that I love my job. I thrive working in a low income, urban setting with students that can make so much growth throughout the school year. Even though some of my students may come from rough settings where things are difficult at home, I strive to provide a safe and loving learning environment for them while they are in my care. In my classroom, I educate my students knowing that they can all succeed and feel success within each and every school day. If my students go home feeling happy, loved, listened to, and educated, then I have done my job for that day.
