These materials are the basic needs that students do not come to school with because of hardships. Having these materials will allow the stress of families to be eased and feel that their children will be able to learn and not worry about getting supplies needed to start a wonderful school year. They will have folders for their important first day letters and homework assignments. They will be able to use new crayons for thier first day drawings and feelings about school and bring them to life with colors of their summer adventures.
Struggling readers and ELLs will have the advantage of listening to books on tape and repeating words and phrases to become better readers.
Donating to this project will promote focus on day 1 and nothing can make this teacher happier.
