Our families are hard-working families and they love their children. I teach 2nd grade in a Title 1 school, and many of our kids come to us from families who are experiencing generational poverty; families who are struggling to provide the necessities and don't have the resources or backgrounds necessary to build a thirst for knowledge and a love of learning. Our school attempts to instill that gift. We love our kids and our families. We know them and they know us. We work as partners with parents and guardians to ensure that our families have what they need, physically, emotionally and educationally. Our school is a very close-knit community.
