Our school is a vibrant, close-knit K-8 community with kids who are invested in and motivated by music. We have over a third of the 6-8 student body enrolled in band, and all 330 K-5 students get music class twice a week. It is a school that until this year received Title I funding as a result of having over 40% of students qualifying for free and reduced lunch - we are just under that threshold now and without that funding have little to no budget for discretionary spending, so we need to find outside means to add to our musical instrument inventory. We are a small school in a very large district that is stretched very thin as far as providing instruments for all of the newer music programs in the area - we are doing everything we can but have fallen short so far of providing an adequate musical instrument inventory for these kids. This is where you come in!
