I teach a self contained class of Autistic 3rd grade to 5th grade students. Many of them have limited verbal skills, and have a high need of sensory input. Not providing sensory input, my students can become very anxious and frustrated. Creating an environment with these needed materials to meet their sensory needs will create an environment which they can be calm and able to focus learning activities.
