Our class will be reading a chapter book together in class and will answer the comprehension assignments at home. Many of my students don’t have chapters books at home to read. This will be like our whole class book club which the kiddos have been so excited to do! By doing this students will increase their fluency, vocabulary, and aight word recognition. They will also be able to work on comprehension skills together with teacher support and on their own for independent practice. Hopefully, students will also continue to develop a love of reading and a love of books.
