My students are wonderful learners with huge hearts. They are in a self-contained classroom because of learning difficulties, social and emotional behaviors and to learn in a smaller environment. Our school is a Title One school and many of my students struggle throughout the school year. When they come to school, they know they are safe and loved. My students have many sensory needs that are met by using kinetic sand, clay and sensory toys. They sit on yoga balls throughout the school day to help with their need of movement (constant bouncing.) Many of my students require sensory to help them learn throughout the day. Ninety percent of my students need something in their hands so that they can concentrate on their learning. My Littles are amazing and they are growing everyday.
