Our school is a two year middle school. We have approximately 870 students in 7th and 8th grade. Video Production students complete an application process in order to be in the class. The students are very creative and work well together to complete the required video projects. There are 14 girls and 3 boys in the class. These students are responsible for running the live morning announcement show each day. They arrive early each morning to set up and prepare for the show. This is done on their own time before school and during the morning show time. The Video class meets later in the day for 50 minutes. It is during this time that we complete the video projects required for the class. This year's orientation video has been shown to over 600 6th grade students during the visits to our school for orientation. Other projects include a video biography, a television intro, a how to video to share tips with the next Video class and a research project.
