Hello, I am so excited to be newly assigned to the Speech-Language Extended Therapy program here at Gwen T. Jackson EC and Elem. school in Milwaukee, WI. That's a mouthful! This Therapy room services 3-4 year olds identified with a need to participate in half a day therapy to increase their overall communication skills before they start the traditional classroom setting. Communication includes: sound/word production, vocabulary, sentence content/structure, understanding & processing what others say (following directions, answering questions..), verbalization of thoughts/knowledge/feelings, memory, problem solving, sequencing, and the list goes on!!! I may be newly assigned, but I have 9 years experience as an Early Childhood EEN teacher, mother of 5 children, and almost 30 years as a Speech Pathologist! Did I just hint at my age? I love doing hands on learning activities! Child's play is their work!
