I have 24 students from various home environments that are eager to learn and excited about learning. My goal is to keep my students excited and curious while giving them "real" items to manipulate and explore seeing some at risk concerns in the areas needed for standards and materials I placed on my list. My classroom is huge within sensory items through the five senses in sight (textures, lighting), smells (lemongrass, peppermint, lavender), touch/feel (textures, hands on, kinesthetic movement and manipulation). Our school is a Title I school working towards giving students every opportunity to have high exposure to academics, letting them know they have full potential, and also instilling in students the leaders they can be.
