My school is apart of the most diverse district in the country. These students speak a variety of languages and are from many different cultures. We have many refugees that have come to this country with the hopes of a better life, a good education, and to be apart of the American dream. They often struggle with complex scientific terminology and pronunciation, but seem to excel when allowed to discover science with hands on learning. They are amazing kids that challenge me every day to give my best and never accept defeat. We are a small school with big dreams and even bigger ideas. Students always feel safe here and a high level of trust exists between teacher and students. We are both high in diversity and in poverty. The student take pride in what they do and the cultures they come from.
