My name is Mrs. R. I am a history teacher at a middle school in Bakersfield, CA. I currently teach 7th grade World History and and I am also the yearbook adviser! Teaching history is my passion and I love getting to discuss history, current events, politics and government with my history students. Yearbook has been the surprise joy of my job! I was volunteered to be yearbook adviser in my 2nd year teaching, but now it is one of my favorite things I get to do with our students! We create something amazing that students get to look at for years to come. Last year, we were awarded the National Yearbook Program of Excellence award from Jostens. My students were the only ones given this award in all of Bakersfield. I am so proud of their ability to not only produce a high-school level yearbook, but to have helped build a strong team and program.
