Students with special needs need a lot of sensory input. Providing flexible seating for students will give them the sensory input they need. The students I teach have a tough time sitting for lessons and struggle with staying focused. Being allowed to sit in flexible seating will allow them to stay comfortable and stay focused on the lesson. The students I teach also respond best when given a choice so they will be able to have a choice on the what they would like to sit on during the lessons.
