We come from a Title 1 school and most of my students are very poor. For a few of them, the food they eat here is all they get. They get assistance from a food bank but I know that they have to share it with other family members. Even with their struggles at home, they come to school very happy and eager to learn. Their most favorite part of the day is when we have story time. They just love it! I let them borrow books from my library all the time. Occasionally the books don't come back but that's okay. If they want it that bad, they can certainly have it.
