My goal is to teach my students more than just science. I want my students to leave my class with the ability to tackle assignments with the confidence and desire to think critically and work independently. I want them to be more technologically literate.
My students attend a K-8, Title 1 school, with a diverse student body, with a great percentage of whom are considered economically disadvantaged. Our students have a strong desire to learn about our world and the ways that STEM ideas come to life. We currently face many environmental problems and our students today will be the decision makers of tomorrow. Therefore, it is critical that we provide hands on, relevant STEM activities that bring learning to life for these students.
